ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Public Technology, Inc., (PTI) would like to acknowledge each
member of its Urban Energy and Environmental Task Force who helped
to select the programs, provide contact names, and guide the
development of the individual case studies for the following
jurisdictions: Austin, Texas; Boulder, Colorado; Chittenden
County, Vermont; Chattanooga/Hamilton County, Tennessee;
Metro-Dade County, Florida; Northampton County, Virginia;
Metropolitan Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Phoenix, Arizona;
Portland, Oregon; and San Jose, California.
DynCorp I&ET played a key role in researching, analyzing, and
writing the case studies. PTI would like to acknowledge Dr.
Charles Herrick and Janine Finnell of DynCorp's Environmental
Management Programs who developed the overall research design and
edited the report. Case study authors include: Ranjeet
Bhatia - Metro-Dade County, Metropolitan Philadelphia, and
Boulder/Boulder County; Evelyn Chang - Austin; Suzanne
Dunn - Northampton and Portland; Heather Jones - San Jose
and Chittenden County; and Mark Keller - Chattanooga/Hamilton
County and Phoenix. Jim Easterly and Dr. Nimmi Damodaran assisted
in the project's initiation and review process. Mary Ann Flynn
designed the graphics and document lay-out.
PTI administered this project under the direction of Jack Werner,
who had primary responsibility for preparing this compendium of
case studies. In addition, thanks are due to PTI staff who
participated in the final production. Taly Walsh, PTI Director
for Corporate Communications, oversaw the guide's design and
production. Shaden Tageldin, PTI Writer/Editor, edited the guide
to produce the final text.
Jerry McNeil and David George of the National Association of
Counties (NACo) provided information and editing assistance on the
case studies.
