Green Building Discussion Group 
Co-sponsored by Oikos and Environmental Building News, this forum is dedicated entirely to topics related to environmentally-responsible building design and construction. 

Computer Network of Building Researchers (CNBR) 
A moderated discussion group for people involved in research related to construction and buildings. 

Sustainable Energy 

AE Alternative Energy Discussion Mailing List 
This discussion group is intended to provide a forum to discuss the current state of the art and future direction of alternative energy sources that are renewable and sustainable. It is not intended to discuss either AE appropriateness or comparisons with conventional energy sources such as fossil or nuclear fuels. 

Discussion Groups 
DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) identifies several electronic discussion groups focusing on energy-related topics. 

Energy Discussion Groups  
This site, on SOLSTICE, the Web site of the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST), archives several energy-related electronic discussion groups. 

Renewable Energy Policy Project (REPP) Discussion Groups
REPP hosts discussion groups on a range of renewable energy and energy efficiency topics, including bioenergy, green building, green power, solar power, and strawbale construction. The site provides links to simple online forms for signing up to the discussion groups, or you can browse the archives online.

Alternative Transportation mailing list 
Provides a discussion area for topics related to alternative transportation, including walking, bicycling, alternative fueled vehicles, and innovative transit schemes. 

BIKECOMMUTE 
A discussion of bicycle commuting and improving conditions for bicyclists. Subscribe by sending the message "subscribe bikecommute [your name]" to listserv@conicit.ve

Global Cycling Network Mailing Lists 
This site provides links to many discussion groups that focus on bicycle-related topics. 

TLCNet Streettalk 
This e-mail discussion list serves as a forum where a variety of transportation, community, and livability issues can be discussed. Topics include: traffic calming and street design; scenic road preservation; bicycle facility planning and design; public transit and intercity rail; transit-oriented development; and more.

Transit-alternatives
A mailing list established to encourage the discussion of topics related to innovative transportation approaches.
