EPA's
Guidebook of Financial Tools
Provides an overview of a wide range of ways and means that
are useful in paying for sustainable environmental systems.
The guidebook is divided into 10 sections, presenting outline
information on approximately 250 financial tools. The first
five sections present comprehensive financing tools that include
traditional means of raising revenue, borrowing capital, enhancing
credit, creating public-private partnerships, and ways of providing
technical assistance.

Applications accepted on a rolling basis through April 1, 2005.
Maximum loan is $100,000 at 0%; 1-to-1 match loan required.
Small- and medium-sized businesses and institutions eligible.
Preference will be given to projects related to waste reduction,
pollution prevention, and other prevention-based or preventative
technologies and practices.
National
Recycling Coalition's National Recycling Financing Initiative
(NRFI)
NRFI researches, documents, and publishes information on successful
capital information strategies for recycling businesses; provides
information and conducts outreach to targeted investors on successful
financial deals and investment opportunities in the recycling
industry; and provides state market development officials and
business development specialists with a centralized source of
information and training to assist recycling businesses in obtaining
financing.
