Numerous grant opportunities exist to help communities fund
sustainable development projects. This section identifies sources
of information for Federal, private foundation, and corporate
grant opportunities.

Grants.gov
As of November 7, 2003, all Federal agencies are required
to post grant opportunities online at this website. The site
contains information about finding and applying for all federal
grant programs. It also allows one to register to receive e-mail
notifications of new grant postings, and to search by key word,
funding opportunity number, funding activity, funding type,
and by agency.
The Catalog
of Federal Domestic Assistance
Provides a government-wide compendium of all Federal programs,
projects, services, and activities that provide assistance or
benefits to State and local governments; federally -recognized
Indian tribal governments; Territories of the United States;
domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit
organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals.
These programs provide grants, loans, loan guarantees, services,
information, scholarships, training, insurance, etc.
Funders Network
for Smart Growth and Livable Communities
Inform and strengthen philanthropic funders' individual and
collective abilities to support and connect organizations working
to improve quality of life, create better economies, build livable
communities, and protect and preserve natural resources.
EPA Grants
and Fellowship Information
Provides comprehensive information on USDA, Department of Commerce,
EPA, FEMA, HUD, and Department of Interior funding opportunities,
regional centers, and data on previously funded projects. EPA
