Build a strong and lasting economy that protects natural, cultural and historic assets for current and future generations. Jobs: Create family-wage employment with benefits, advancement and training opportunities for local residents throughout Northampton County. Environment: Protect and enhance natural resources, including water quality, migratory bird habitat, and cultural resources, including historic town, historic sites. Demonstrate conservation and efficient use of resources in industrial design and operations. Develop an industrial ecology where the waste of one industry serves as another industry’s raw material. Economic Base: Provide highly competitive sites, infrastructure, facilities and services to support private business and industrial development and the revitalization of the local economy. Competitive Advantage: Develop the first of the next generation of industrial facilities. Create a national prototype which showcases businesses modeling profitable approaches to resource efficiency, pollution prevention and ecologically-based industry. Design: Responsive to diverse industry needs, flexible site size, integrated with historic town and industrial harbor, includes new development land and redevelopment of former industrial land, facilitates industrial ecologies where one industry’s waste will serve as another industry’s raw material.
